VIGYAN JYOTI SCHEME
1362. SHRI KANAKMAL KATARA
Will the Minister of SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state:
(a) the number of educational institutes being covered under Vigyan Jyoti Scheme in the rural areas;
(b) the State-wise details of tribal girls benefited under the said scheme;
(c) whether the Government proposes to expand ‘Vigyan Jyoti Gyan Kendras’ to cover other Government schools thereunder; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a) Vigyan Jyoti programme is being implemented in 100 schools of the country and all the schools are situated in rural areas.
(b) Since the inception, around 1820 tribal girls have been benefited under Vigyan Jyoti Progrmme and State-wise details is given below:
