Expansion of Ujjwala Yojana

Will the Minister of PETROLEUM AND NATURAL GAS be pleased to state:

(a) whether the Government proposes to further expand the Ujjwala Yojana;

(b) if so, the roadmap thereof; and

(c) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (c) Ujjwala 2.0 has been launched on 10th August, 2021 to provide one crore LPG connections along with free first refill and stove. As on 27.01.2022, 99.14 lakh connections have already been issued under Ujjwala 2.0. The Government has recently extended the Scheme to release additional 60 lakh LPG connections under Ujjwala 2.0 on existing modalities.
