WilI the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has witnessed an increase in the number of applications for street vendors received under PM SVANidhi scheme;
(b) if so, the details thereof including the total number of applications received and the percentage increase in comparison to the last year;
(c) whether the Government has devised any plan on tackling such high number of applications;
(d) if so, the details of thereof including timeline to address all applications;
(e) the details of fund allocation under PM SVANidhi scheme during the current year as compared to last year;
(f) whether the Government proposes to support the street vendors under this scheme who might have lost their livelihood due to COVID-19; and
(g) if so, the details of thereof?

(a) Yes Sir. The number of applications received under the Prime Minister Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbharNidhi (PM SVANidhi) Scheme has increased over the course of its implementation.
(b) The number of eligible applications received till 02.02.2022 as compared to eligible applications received till 31.03.2021 are as under:

- Facilitate collateral free working capital loan up to ₹10,000, of 1 year tenure, with enhanced loan of ₹20,000 and ₹50,000 in the second and third tranches respectively, on repayment of earlier loans.
- Incentivize regular repayment, through interest subsidy @ 7% per annum; and
- Reward digital transactions, by way of cash back up to ₹1,200 per year.
