GRAM PANCHAYAT’S ACCESS TO ROADS UNDER PMGSY

Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the length of roads constructed in Gujarat under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) during the last three years and current year District-wise; and
(b) the number of Gram Panchayats provided access to roads under the PMGSY during the said period?

(a) The State of Gujarat has been sanctioned 15,731 km of road length under various interventions of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) since inception. Out of which, the State has constructed 12,857 km of roads as on 15th December, 2021. The details of road length constructed district-wise in previous three years and the current year as on 15th December, 2021 are given in Annexure-I.
(b) The eligibility under PMGSY is determined on the basis of habitation to be connected. As per programme guidelines, the unit of this programme is a habitation and not a Gram Panchayat. In the State of Gujarat, out of 3048 sanctioned eligible habitations, connectivity have been provided to all the 3048 habitations. Details of habitations provided connectivity during last three years and current year are given in the Annexure-II.
