Central government has launched PM Jan Aushadhi Yojana to provide generic medicines to people at lower prices. The low cost generic medicines under Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana would remain available at the nearest PMBJP stores. Objectives of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP)

With an objective of making quality generic medicines available at affordable prices to all, Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) was launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India in November, 2008. Under the scheme, dedicated outlets known as Janaushadhi Kendras are opened to provide generic medicines at affordable prices. As on 06.08.2021, 8012 Janaushadhi Kendras are functional across the country. Product basket of PMBJP comprises 1451 drugs and 240 surgical items. The Scheme is implemented by a society registered under the Societies Registration Act, viz., Pharma & Medical Bureau of India (PMBI) [erstwhile Bureau of Pharma PSUs of India(BPPI)]

• Ensure access to quality medicines for all sections of the population especially the poor and the deprived ones.
• Create awareness about generic medicines through education and publicity to counter the perception that quality is synonymous with high price only.
• Generate employment by engaging individual entrepreneurs in opening of PMBJP Kendra.

Salient Features of Pradhan Mantri Jan Aushadhi Yojana 2021

The Scheme is operated by government agencies as well as by private entrepreneurs:-

• The incentive provided to the Kendra owners has been enhanced from existing Rs. 2.50 lakh to up to Rs. 5.00 lakh to be given @ 15% of monthly purchases made, subject to a ceiling of Rs. 15,000/- per month.
• One-time incentive of Rs. 2.00 lakh is to be provided for furniture & fixtures and computer & printers to the PMBJP Kendras opened in North-Eastern States, Himalayan areas, Island territories and backward areas mentioned as aspirational district by NITI Aayog or opened by women entrepreneur, Divyang, SCs& STs.
• Prices of the Jan Aushadhi medicines are 50%-90% less than that of branded medicines prices in the open market.
• Medicines are procured only from World Health Organization – Good Manufacturing Practices (WHO-GMP) certified suppliers for ensuring the quality of the products.
• Each batch of drug is tested at laboratories accredited by ‘National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories’ (NABL) for ensuring best quality.

Savings to Citizens under PM Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana

During the financial year 2020-21, PMBJP achieved savings of approximately Rs. 4,000 crores of the common citizens of the country.

Impact of PM Jan Aushadhi Yojana

PM Jan Aushadhi Yojana has made available quality medicines at an affordable price to the common masses. The number of stores has grown to more than 8,000 and all districts have been covered. The scheme is also providing a good source of self-employment with sustainable and regular earnings. Average sales per store per month has grown to Rs. 1.50 lacs (including OTC & other products). As more steps are being taken to popularize the use of generic medicines in India by the government, sales are bound to increase.

• At the official homepage, click at the “Go to Homepage” link as shown.
• Upon clicking this link, the PM Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Pariyojana page will appear
• At this page, click at the “Apply for PMBJK” link present in the header to apply online for PM Bhartiya Janaushadhi Kendra
• Direct Link – http://janaushadhi.gov.in/online_registration.aspx
• Afterwards, the (PM Bhartiya Jan Aushadhi Yojana (PMBJP) Kendra Registration page will open.
• Here click at the Apply Online link to open the Jan Aushadhi Yojana Login page which will appear.
• All the applicants can make PMBJP login using User ID, Password, Login Type and click at ‘Log In‘ option to make PM Jan Aushadhi Yojana Login. However, new user will have to click at “Not Registered with BPPI / PMBJP? Registered Now” link.
• Afterwards, the PM Jan Aushadhi Yojana online registration form will appear.
• Applicants can enter all details accurately and click at “Submit” button to fillup Jan Aushadhi Kendra Online Registration Form and then make login to complete the remaining application process.

Non refundable application fee of Rs. 5000 is to be deposited along with PMBJP Kendra Opening Application Form. Application Fee is not applicable in case of applicant belongs under the category of women entrepreneurs, Divyang, SC / ST and any entrepreneurs of aspirational districts notified by NITI Aayog, in Himalayan, Island Territories and North Eastern states.

प्रधानमंत्री जन औषधि योजना (PMJAY) – कौन खोल सकते हैं

प्रधानमंत्री जन औषधि योजना (PMJAY) भारत सरकार द्वारा चलायी जा रही एक बहुत ही उपयोगी योजना है जिसके तहत सरकार आम जनता को कम दामों पर गुणवत्तापूर्ण जेनेरिक दवाइयां उपलब्ध करवाने पर जोर दे रही है। इस योजना के तहत दवाओं के वितरण के लिए पूरे देश भर के विभिन्न जिलों में स्टोर अथवा जन औषधि केंद्र खोले जा रहे हैं।

यदि आप एक योग्य उम्मीदवार हैं तो आप भी अपने शहर में जन औषधि केंद्र खोलकर अपना रोजगार शुरू कर सकते हैं। PMJAY के तहत जन औषधि केंद्र खोलने के लिए सरकार की तरफ से लोगों को करीब 2.5 लाख रुपये की सहायता दी जा रही थी जिसे अब बढाकर 5 लाख रुपये कर दिया गया है। इस प्रोत्साहन राशि को एक महीने में ख़रीदे जाने वाले सामान की राशि के 15% प्रति महीने (ज्यादा से ज्यादा 15,000 प्रति माह) की दर से दिया जाएगा।

जन औषधि केंद्र के लिए B-फार्मा और S-फार्मा पास युवाओं को मौके दिए जाने थे हालांकि अब इसे दूसरे लोगों के लिए भी खोल दिया गया है। नए जन औषधि स्टोर खोलने के लिए आप भी अप्लाई कर सकते हैं। यदि आप सरकार की शर्तों पर खरे उतरते हैं तो हर माह आसानी से 25 हजार रुपए कमा सकते हैं।

• SC, ST, एवं दिव्यांग आवेदकों को Jan Aushadhi केंद्र खोलने के लिए 50,000 रूपये तक की दवाइयां अग्रिम रूप से दी जायेंगी।
• जनऔषधि सेंटर खोलने के लिए सरकार ने 3 कैटेगरी बनाई हैं।
• पहली कैटेगरी में कोई भी व्यक्ति, बेरोजगार फार्मासिस्ट, डॉक्टर, रजिस्टर्ड मेडिकल प्रैक्टिशनर स्टोर खोल सकेगा।
• दूसरी कैटेगरी में ट्रस्ट, NGO, प्राइवेट हॉस्पिटल, सोसायटी और सेल्फ हेल्प ग्रुप को स्टोर खोलने का मौका मिलेगा।
• वहीं तीसरी कैटेगरी में राज्य सरकारों द्वारा नॉमिनेट की गई एजेंसी होगी।
• दुकान खोलने के लिए 120 वर्गफुट एरिया में दुकान होनी जरूरी है।
• सेंटर खोलने वालों को सरकार की ओर से 1451 से ज्यादा दवाएं उपलब्ध कराई जाएंगी।

प्रधानमंत्री जन औषधि योजना (PMJAY) के लिए जरूरी दस्तावेज

• आधार कार्ड एवं पैन कार्ड जरूर होना चाहिए।
• अगर कोई गैर सरकारी संगठन (NGO), फार्मासिस्ट, डॉक्टर, और मेडिकल प्रैक्टिशनर जन औषधि केंद्र खोलने के लिए आवेदन करता है तो उसे आधार, पैन, संस्था बनाने का सर्टिफिकेट एवं उसका रजिस्ट्रेशन सर्टिफिकेट देना होगा।
• PMJAY के तहत औषधि केंद्र खोलने के लिए आपके पास कम से कम 120 वर्गफीट की जगह होनी चाहिए।
• आप चाहे तो किराये पे भी ले सकते हैं।

प्रधानमंत्री जन औषधि योजना (PMJAY) केंद्र के लाभ

• दवा के प्रिंट रेट पर 20% तक का मुनाफा मिलेग़ा।
• दो लाख रुपये तक की वित्तीय मदद मिलेगी।
• PMJAY के तहत खोले गए जन औषधि केंद्र को 12 महीने की बिक्री का 10% अतिरिक्त इंसेंटिव दिया जायेगा और यह रकम अधिकतम 10000 रुपये हर महीने मिलेगी।
• उत्तर पूर्वी राज्य व नक्स्ल प्रभावित इलाके और आदिवासी क्षेत्रों में यह इंसेंटिव 15% हो सकती है यह रकम हालांकि अधिकतम 10000 रुपये हर महीने मिलेगी।
