Will the Minister of LABOUR AND EMPLOYMENT be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has mechanism in place under the Aam Aadmi Beema Yojana (AABY) to reach out to the targeted unorganised sector workers at the micro level;
(b) if so, the popular method to encourage the registration under AABY; (c)whether AABY has impacted the urban areas and if so, the details thereof; and
(d)the major sectors whose workers have registered under this scheme?

(a) to (d): Aam Aadmi Bima Yojana (AABY), launched in 2007, to provide life and disability cover to persons between the age of 18 and 59 years, living below and marginally above poverty line in 47 identified vocations/occupations was converged with Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Surksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY) with effect from 01.06.2017. The benefits under these schemes have been increased to Rs. 2 lakh on death due to any reason or permanent disability, Rs 4 lakh on death due to accident and Rs. 1 lakh on partial disability. The annual premium is Rs. 342/- (Rs. 330/- for PMJJBY + Rs. 12/- for PMSBY) per worker. The total premium of Rs. 342/- is to be borne by the individual. As on 30.06.2021, cumulative registrations under PMJJBY and PMSBY are 10,53,42,422 and 23,66,88,220 respectively.
