The scheme is mainly for the students of Assam state who are pursuing higher education also it is said that there are almost 5000 students who are pursuing higher studies in Assam. Almost 1500 students will be selected in this batch of the scheme.

Benefits Of The Scheme

Many benefits will be provided to all of the beneficiaries under the Abhinandan scheme. One such benefit is a one-time incentive of 50000 which will be distributed to all of the Eligible candidates. Also, there are no separate eligibility criteria for all of the beneficiaries. The only criteria are that the incentive will be provided to all of the students who are pursuing higher education in the Assam state. This scheme will ensure that each and every student is getting higher education without the problem of financial funds.

Implementation Of The Abhinandan Scheme Assam 2021

As mentioned above the Abhinandan scheme will be implemented very soon in the Assam state. The first batch of the scheme will benefit almost 1500 students across Assam state. In the next batch, the remaining 3000 students will be offered the incentive of 50000 rupees so that they can carry on their higher education without any worry about financial problems. The implementation of this Abhinandan Scheme Assam 2021 will help the young students. The first batch will receive the sanctioned amount by 4 pm on Friday. The aim of the scheme is to provide a loan waiver to students of Assam who have availed of education loans.

Inauguration Of The Abhinandan Scheme Assam 2021

The Abhinandan scheme in the Assam state was inaugurated recently in a Press Conference which was conducted in Guwahati. Chief Minister Sonowal was the chief guest of the program held at the Srimanta Sankardeva International auditorium. Also, Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma was the guest of honor while Education Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya attended the program as the special guest. Several senior officials of the State Finance Department, senior officials of executing financial institutions like SBI were also present in the function.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Assam Abhinandan scheme, the applicant must follow the following eligibility criteria given below:-

• First of all, the applicant must be a permanent resident of Assam state.

• The applicant must be pursuing higher education in Assam state from any of the recognized colleges.

• The applicant should have taken loans of a minimum of 1 lakh.

• The loan should have been sanctioned before March 31, 2019.

• No minimum income criteria is finalized.

• The scheme will be available through all commercial banks like the Federal Bank and HDFC and also the regional rural banks like Assam Gramin Vikash Bank within Assam.

In Eligible Citizens

There are many people from the seat who will not be eligible to apply for the scheme and they are as follows:

• People who have not paid their repayment of the installment at a specific time.

• If you are already a beneficiary of the Vidhya Lakshmi scheme, then you are not eligible for this scheme.

• All the educational loans are declared as Non Performing Assets after the specific duration of 90 days.
