Will the Minister of RURAL DEVELOPMENT be pleased to state:
(a) the number of villages/gram panchayats adopted under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) and the number of villages which have been developed so far since 2014 along with the details thereof, State/Union Territory-wise, year-wise;
(b) the amount spent so far in this regard;
(c) whether the Government is considering to allocate additional funds for all round development of more than one village under SAGY, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor; and
(d) whether the Government will consider providing special financial assistance for each of the gram panchayats selected under SAGY for implementing the activities, if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons thereof?

(a) The Hon’ble Members of Parliament (MPs) have adopted 2,070 Gram Panchayats for development under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) till 17 March 2021, since 2014. The State/UT wise and year wise total number of Gram Panchayats adopted under Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAGY) is given in Annexure-I. Further, a total of 531 Gram Panchayats have completed all the projects planned under the Village Development Plans(VDP) as per the information uploaded by States/UTs on SAGY portal (http://saanjhi.gov.in). The State wise and year wise number of Gram Panchayats that have completed all the projects planned under the VDP is placed in Annexure-II.
(b) to (d) : SAGY is a scheme based on convergence of already existing schemes of Government of India, State schemes, partnership with Private, Voluntary and Cooperative (PVC) sectors, Gram Panchayats’ own revenue, resources mobilized in kind and labour and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds without provision of any funding specifically under the scheme.VDP preparation includes a baseline survey and a situation analysis facilitating projectization and sanction of activities by the concerned departmental officer for subsequent implementation of prioritized projects under different Central and State schemes including CSR activities and private capital. The respective nodal ministries for the Centrally Sponsored and Central Sector schemes and other donors are the custodians of data related to the extent of convergence in terms of resources, labour etc.
There is no provision and also no proposal under consideration to allocate any funds specially for this programme.
