Delhi Jal Board for the post of Kanungo the Recruitment and Promotion Regulation, 2021

NOTIFICATION

Delhi, the 26th February, 2021

No. 16(525)/UD/W/2015/316.—In exercise of the Powers conferred under clause (m) sub-section (2) of section 109 read with section 7 and 51 of the Delhi Water Board Act, 1998 (Delhi Act. No. 4 of 1998) and in supersession of the Delhi Notification No. F 9/32/81-LSG-7792 dated 27th November 1981 except as respects things done or omitted to be done before such supersession, Government of Nation Capital Territory of Delhi, for regulating the method or recruitment to the post of Kanungo in Delhi Water Board, are hereby published, namely:-

Delhi Jal Board

1. Short title and commencement:-

(I) These regulations may be called Delhi Jal Board for the post of Kanungo the Recruitment and Promotion Regulation, 2021.

(II) They shall come into force on the date of their publication in the Delhi Gazette.

2. Number of posts, classification and Level in the Pay Matrix:- The number of posts, classification and Level in the Pay Matrix attached thereto shall be as specified in columns (2) to (4) of the Schedule annexed to these regulations.

3. Method of recruitment, age limit and other qualifications:- The method of recruitment to the said posts, age limit, qualifications and other matters connected therewith shall be as specified in columns (5) to (13) of the said Schedule.

4. Disqualification:– No person;

  • a) who has entered into or contracted a marriage with person having a spouse living; or
  • b) who having a spouse living, has entered into or contracted marriage with any person; Shall be eligible for appointment to any of the said posts:

Provided that Delhi Water Board, may, if satisfied that such a marriage is permissible under the personal law applicable to such persons and the other party to the marriage and that there are other grounds for so doing, exempt any person from the operation of this regulation.

5. Power to Relax:- Where the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi is of the opinion that it is necessary or expedient so to do, it may, by order and for reasons to be recorded in writing, and in consultation with Union Public Service Commission,   relax any of the provisions of these rules with respect to any class or category of persons.

6. Saving:– Nothing in these regulations shall affect reservations and other concessions required to be provided for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and other special categories of persons in accordance with the orders issued by the Government of India from time to time in this regard.

Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Ladhakh division of Jammu and
Kashmir State Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi
Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pardesh,
Andaman and Nicobar Islands or Lakshadweep).

Promotion:-

Patwari in level 2 (rs. 19900–63200/-) in the Pay Matrix
with eight years service rendered after appointment thereto
on regular basis and have gone for one week training in the
related field from Delhi Jal Board Training Institute.

Considering for consisting of:-

1. Director (Administration & Personel) Chairman.

2. SE (Civil/Electrical and Mechanical) member.

Consultation with the Union Public Service Commission not
necessary.
