VASANT KUNJ FLATS UNDER DDA

Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRS be pleased to state:
(a) whether there is widespread seepage in top floor flats of Vasant Kunj allotted under DDA Housing Scheme 2019 for lack of quality construction of parapet walls, faulty slopes of rooftop, drainage system and leakage from cemented water tanks;
(b) whether it is a fact that these flats do not have provision if piped drinking water and borewell water is being supplied, which is hazardous and unsafe for consumption;
(c) whether it is also a fact that encroachment on vacant DDA plots is rampant, surrounding these flats; and
(d) if so, the action Government has taken to resolve the above.

(a) to (d): Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has informed that there is no widespread seepage in top floor flats of Vasant Kunj allotted under DDA Housing Scheme 2019. DDA has further informed that three complaints of seepage from water tanks were received which have been rectified promptly. Potable water from bore wells is being supplied through pipe network. Quality of water is checked periodically from ISO certified and NABL accredited labs. As per test results quality of water is as per drinking water norms. DDA has informed that no encroachment has been noticed on DDA vacant plots within the boundary of this housing pocket located on Mehrauli-Mahipalpur road near Sultan Ghari Tomb. However, there are some notified JJ clusters outside the said pocket.
