Will the Minister of HOUSING AND URBAN AFFAIRSbe pleased to state:

(a) the number of houses targetted to be constructed for homeless persons in various States of the country and particularly in Buldhana district of Maharashtra during the year 2019-20;

(b) the funds sanctioned for this purpose by the Union Government and the amount pending to be released as on date, State-wise and particularly for Buldhana district of Maharashtra during the said period;

(c) the number of houses constructed and the number of the houses remaining to be constructed during the said period as on date, State/district-wise;

(d) whether the Union Government has received requests from public representatives for releasing outstanding amount for construction of such houses particularly for Buldhana district of Maharashtra; and

(a)&(b) Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana- Urban (PMAY-U), so far about 110 lakh houses have been sanctioned in various States/Union Territories (UTs). The details of funds sanctioned and released for these houses are annexed as Annexure-I.

The details of houses sanctioned and funds released particularly for Buldhana district of Maharashtra during the year 2019-2020, under the PMAY-U,are annexed as Annexure -II.

(c) The details of the number of houses sanctioned during Financial Year 2019-20 and progress thereof district wise in the State of Maharashtra are annexed as Annexure- III.

(d) Yes, Sir. The Union Government, through Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), had received representations from public representatives.

(e) The Ministry has taken up the matter with the State Government of Maharashtra to provide Utilisation Certificates (UCs) for funds released by the Union Government.

For release of funds under the Beneficiary Linked Construction (BLC) component, the State Government has been requested to link Aadhaar seeding of beneficiaries in the Management Information System (MIS). Further, under Affordable Housing Projects (AHP) and ‘In-situ’ Slum Redevelopment (ISSR) components, in addition to above, the State Government has been requested to register projects under Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA). The State Government of Maharashtra has also been requested to provide Action Taken Report (ATR) on the recommendations of Third-Party Quality Monitoring Agencies (TPQMA), Geo-tagging of various stages of construction of houses/ projects so that subsequent installment for projects being implemented under PMAY-U in the State of Maharashtra could be released.
