During the Corona Crisis, the Mata Vaishno Devi temple was closed for almost 6 months. Now, we have great news for people who want to participate in Vaishno Devi Yatra 2020. From 16th August 2020 onwards, the yatra has been resumed for the general public. All interested people need to register online for Vaishno Devi Yatra.

मां वैष्णो देवी की पावन यात्रा का शुभारंभ 16 अगस्त से हो गया है। जम्मू कश्मीर में स्थित मां वैष्णों के धाम में हर समय भक्तों का तांता लगा रहता था, परंतु कोरोना वायरस की वजह से पिछले कुछ समय से वैष्णो देवी की यात्रा बंद कर दी गई थी। 16 अगस्त, रविवार से एक बार फिर मां वैष्णो की पावन यात्रा को शुरू कर दिया गया है। कोरोना वायरस से सुरक्षित रहने के लिए मां वैष्णो देवी की यात्रा करने के लिए कुछ विशेष नियम भी बनाए गए हैं। इन नियमों का पालन करने के बाद ही वैष्णो देवी की यात्रा करने की अनुमति मिलेगी। आइए जानते हैं वैष्णो देवी की यात्रा करते समय किन नियमों का पालन करना होगा।

Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra 2020: Important Information

• Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has given permission to resume the Yatra from 16th August onwards 

• Initially, only 2000 people per day will be allowed for Yatra. Out for these 2000 people, for the first week, daily, 1900 pilgrims will be local (belonging to j&k) while the remaining 100 will be from other states 

• All pilgrims must download & install Arogya Setu app in their mobile phones

• Thermal scanning of all the pilgrims will be done 

• Pregnant ladies, children below 10 years of age & people of age 60 years plus will not be allowed for Vaishno Devi Yatra 2020

• All passengers must carry original valid Photo ID and Address Proof

• If any pilgrim shows symptom of COVID 19, he/she will be allowed to participate

• All pilgrims must use masks and adhere to social distancing rules

• It is important to carry COVID 19 negative report in order to visit the temple

• Yatris will be able to visit the Shrine via Katra to Baan Ganga, Ardhkunwari & Sanjhichat routes. The return route will be from Himkoti & Tarakot marg

As mentioned before, it is extremely important to register online for Yatra. Without this, you won’t be able to participate. Here is the step by step process of online registration.

• First of all visit the official online registration page at the official website maavaishnodevi.org

• Before navigating to the registration page, you are advised to read all the information given in the above mentioned page. 

• Read all the given information clearly. Once read, accept the terms and conditions in the end of the page

• Now, you will be taken to another page. Here you need to Login. If you don’t have account, you need to create one. New users can Register Here

• The new user registration form looks like this:

• After successful registration, you will get a confirmation on the screen

• Now, you need to check your email for username and password. 

• visit the login page and login using the username and password provided in the email

• Once logged in, you will be taken to dashboard from where you can see all available online services

• As we are interested in ticket booking for the yatra, you need to click on the option that says “Yatra Parchi”

• Now, you will be able to book tickets online for Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra 2020.

Note: The process is totally free and there are no charges for ticket booking. You are advised to download the ticket for future references.
