Kill Corona Campaign from 1 July 2020 in Madhya Pradesh : Covid Mitras

Madhya Pradesh government is going to launch MP Kill Corona Campaign from 1 July 2020 as announced by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan. In a video conference in Mantralaya on 24 June 2020, Chief Minister mentioned that the campaign would be launched from Bhopal. This abhiyaan is going to cover every family in Bhopal which will help in tracing and tracking of Coronavirus (COVID-19) patients.

A survey team will visit every house in the Bhopal district and check the health of citizens with the help of thermometer and pulse oximeter. Around 14,000 women and men will be given the responsibility to make the campaign successful. The major objective is to tackle the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak as the district had become Coronavirus hotspot.

The state govt. of Madhya Pradesh and society will work together to raise awareness about the virus that it may be eradicated.

A team consisting of volunteers called Covid Mitras is being formed to implement the MP Kill Corona Campaign 2020. CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan has directed the collectors to brace up for the campaign which may send out message to other states. The state govt. will start implementing Madhya Pradesh Kill Corona Abhiyan from 1 July 2020 from Bhopal district. The main aims is to tackle the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak.

Chief Minister has directed the inspectors general of police and commissioners of divisions that they should keep an eye on prevention of covid-19. Till date, MP state has performed better than other states did in controlling the corona pandemic. The state govt. urges the people to continue with all the measures to check COVID-19 virus.

Approx. 14,000 women and men will visit each and every house in the Bhopal district and check the health of citizens with the help of thermometer and pulse oximeter. The growth rate of the disease in MP is less than that of other states in India. Rajasthan has 78% of recovery rate which is highest in all states in the country and MP’s recovery rate is 76.1% which is the second highest.

CM urges people to cooperate with the MP govt. in implementing the Kill Corona Campaign. The state govt. will provide required information to the survey team comprising men, women, health workers, Asha and Aganwadi workers. The citizens will get medical advice from the team about cough, malaria and diarrhoea and each team will visit 100 houses daily.

CM also congratulated the collector of Gwalior for controlling the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. MP govt. mentioned that arrangements should be made for getting corona testing reports without delay, because it will help the health officials to provide help to a patient.
