CBSE Board Exams 2020 Dates. HRD Minister has shared that CBSE is likely to announce the new dates and schedule within a day or two as he announced the dates for JEE and NEET Exams 2020 today.
Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Board Exam 2020 dates are likely to be announced soon now. In a webinar with students, Union HRD Minister, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank shared that the plans were ready and the announcement of the new dates are likely within a day or two. Though he announced the JEE Main 2020 and NEET 2020 exam dates, the HRD Minister refrained from commenting as to when the exams would be conducted.

However, in the nearly one hour long webinar, HRD Minister shared that JEE Main 2020 April exam would now be conducted from July 18 to July 23 and that NEET 2020 exam has been rescheduled to July 26. Answering the queries of the students, the HRD Minister assured all to be patient and that all necessary measures would be taken.
CBSE would be conducting the pending board exams for 29 papers. The new exam dates for the CBSE 10th 12th Board Exams 2020 are likely within two days. This was said conversationally and may be announced sooner or even later. He also stated that only those students of North East Delhi are required to appear for the exams who have not already done so.
Experts – including many school heads in conversation with Times Now suggested that the board exams could be pushed to June or perhaps in July. The suggestion was that the competitive examinations may first be conducted and then the remaining board exams for the class 12 students – including both CBSE and state board exams may be conducted.
When talking about the delay in the results, experts pointed out that the interim period can be effectively utilized for evaluation of the answer sheets. “Most of the CBSE Board Exams have already being conducted. If the exams are pushed to first week of July, say, then the board can check all the remaining answer sheets and plan accordingly! The delay in competitive exams makes it worse!” shared Ms. Rai.

As for the delay in university exams, experts pointed out that the admission process for competitive examination is longer as compared to degree colleges. “Science students planning for admission to IITs and then the medical students – examination is only a small part. The counselling process takes much longer. Pushing back the board exams and giving precedence to competitive exams may make sense in terms of best utilisation of time!”
As to what the students and parents think of this idea or what the MHRD and CBSE are planning is unknown. What is in knowledge is the fact the CBSE has created a schedule and once the permission is granted, it would share the new dates.
Also, all students would get a window of 10 days before the pending CBSE board exams commence to prepare for the remaining papers. Experts however caution students against laxity and recommend that they should continue to revise for the remaining subjects. CBSE Board Exams from March 19 were cancelled and postponed. Few papers from the set along with the remaining main exams for the students of North East Delhi would be conducted by the board once restrictions are lifted.
