श्री मुख्तार अब्बास नकवी ने आज नई दिल्ली स्थित अंत्योदय भवन में केंद्रीय अल्पसंख्यक कार्य मंत्री का पदभार संभाला। इस अवसर पर अल्पसंख्यक कार्य मंत्रालय में सचिव श्री शैलेश एवं मंत्रालय के अन्य वरिष्ठ अधिकारियों ने केन्द्रीय मंत्री का स्वागत किया।
अल्पसंख्यक कार्य मंत्रालय का कामकाज संभालने के अवसर पर पत्रकारों से बातचीत करते हुए श्री नकवी ने कहा कि आने वाले दिनों में अल्पसंख्यक मंत्रालय की प्राथमिकता “3ई” यथा एजुकेशन, एम्प्लॉयमेंट और एम्पावरमेंट के माध्यम से अल्पसंख्यकों का शैक्षणिक-आर्थिक-सामाजिक सशक्तिकरण रहेगी। विकास की रोशनी को समाज के अंतिम व्यक्ति तक पहुंचाना हमारा लक्ष्य है।
श्री नकवी ने कहा कि मंत्रालय की प्राथमिकता अल्पसंख्यकों को बेहतर शिक्षा मुहैया कराना रहेगी। विशेषकर लड़कियों को गुणवत्तापूर्ण शिक्षा मुहैया कराकर बीच में ही स्कूली शिक्षा छोड़ देने (ड्रॉपआउट) की दर को कम करने के लिए युद्ध स्तर पर जागरूकता अभियान चलाया जायेगा। इस दिशा में प्रधानमंत्री जन विकास कार्यक्रम के तहत देश भर में अल्पसंख्यक बाहुल्य क्षेत्रों में स्कूल, कॉलेज, आईटीआई, पॉलिटेक्निक, हॉस्टल, सद्भाव मंडप आदि का निर्माण युद्ध स्तर पर किया जायेगा।
श्री नकवी ने कहा कि “हुनर हाट” जैसे कार्यक्रमों के माध्यम से दस्तकारों, शिल्पकारों को मौका-मार्केट, रोजगार एवं रोजगार के अवसर मुहैया कराने के अभियान को और तेज किया जायेगा। आने वाले दिनों में “हुनर हाट” देश भर के प्रमुख स्थानों पर लगाए जायेंगे।
श्री नकवी ने कहा कि प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के “सबका साथ, सबका विकास, सबका विश्वास” के संकल्प के तहत अल्पसंख्यक मंत्रालय ने अगले 100 दिनों का रोडमैप तैयार किया है जिसमें अल्पसंख्यकों के शैक्षणिक-सामाजिक-आर्थिक सशक्तिकरण एवं रोजगार व रोजगार के अवसर मुहैया कराने वाले प्रभावी कार्यक्रम शामिल हैं।
श्री नकवी ने कहा कि इसके अलावा देश भर में वक़्फ सम्पत्तियों का 100 प्रतिशत डिजिटिलाइज़ेशन एवं जीपीएस मैपिंग अल्पसंख्यक कार्य मंत्रालय की प्राथमिकता रहेगी।
श्री सुरेश अंगड़ी चन्नबसप्पा ने आज यानी 31मई, 2019 को रक्षा राज्य मंत्री पद का कार्यभार संभाल लिया। इस अवसर पर रेलवे बोर्ड के अध्यक्ष श्री वी.के. यादव और बोर्ड के अन्य सदस्य भी मौजूद थे।
श्री सुरेश अंगड़ी चन्नबसप्पा का संक्षिप्त परिचय
श्री सुरेश अंगड़ी चन्नबसप्पा कर्नाटक में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के नेता हैं। वे बेलगाम से 17वीं लोकसभा के लिए निर्वाचित हुए हैं। उन्होंने रेल राज्य मंत्री का कार्यभार संभाला है।
उनका जन्म सोमाव्वा और चन्नबसप्पा के घर हुआ था और उन्होंने बेलगाम के एस.एस.एस. समिति कॉलेज ऑफ कॉमर्स से स्नातक की शिक्षा प्राप्त की। बाद में उन्होंने प्रतिष्ठित राजा लखमगौड़ा लॉ कॉलेज, बेलगाम से कानून में स्नातक की डिग्री हासिल की।
भारतीय जनता पार्टी के सदस्य श्री अंगड़ी 1996 में पार्टी की बेलगाम जिला इकाई के उपाध्यक्ष बन गए। वह 1999 तक उसी पद पर रहे। 2001 में उन्हें पार्टी की जिला इकाई का अध्यक्ष नामित किया गया और 2004 में बेलागावी लोकसभा सीट के लिए पार्टी के उम्मीदवार नामित होने तक वह इसी पद पर रहे। 2009 के आम चुनाव में वह दूसरे कार्यकाल के लिए सांसद चुन लिए गए। 2014 में वह लगातार तीसरी बार लोकसभा के लिए निर्वाचित हुए।

Shri Rijiju is a Lok Sabha MP from Arunachal (West), Arunachal Pradesh. Born on 19th Nov. 1971, Sh. Rijiju has studied B.A., LLB from Delhi. This is the second term of Shri Rijiju as the Member of the Lok Sabha. He has keen interest in badminton, football and athletics. He has also participated in National games. ShriRijiju has written many articles in the Newspapers and Magazine related to Social, Cultural and Political issues. He has special interests in strategic and security affairs. Shri Pralhad Joshi takes charge as new Minister of Coal
Shri Pralhad Joshi took over as the new Minister of Coal here today i.e. 31st May, 2019. In addition to Coal, he has also been assigned the portfolio of Minister of Parliamentary Affairs and Mines. Brief Profile of Shri Pralhad Joshi
Shri Pralhad Joshi (born 27 November 1962) is a member of the 17th Lok Sabha (2019) of India. He represents the Dharwad constituency of Karnataka and is the Ex-President of the Karnataka state unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Shri Pralhad Joshi was elected as a Member of the Lok Sabha for the first time in 2004.
He has been a Member, Business Advisory Committee, Member, Consultative Committee, Ministry of Urban Development, Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation, Member, Committee on Ethics, Chairperson, Standing Committee on Petroleum and Natural Gas, Member, General Purposes Committee, Member, Committee on Privileges in the Parliament among others during his long and distinguished tenure as a Parliamentarian.
Shri RK Singh takes charge of the Ministries of the Power and New & Renewable Energy
Shri RK Singh took over as the Union Minister of State (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy here, today. He was greeted at the office by Shri Ajay Kumar Bhalla, Secretary, Power and Shri Anand Kumar, Secretary, MNRE along with the senior officials of the Ministries.
Briefly interacting with the media after taking charge, Shri Singh said that his priorities would be to ensure quality, reliability and affordability of power. He further said that “We will overcome the challenges and would maintain the pace of growth in power sector.” The Minister also emphasised on working towards the right energy mix to meet India’s international obligations.
BRIEF PROFILE:
Shri RK Singh has served as the Union Minister of State (IC) for Power and New & Renewable Energy since September, 2017. He is currently a Lok Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) from Arrah constituency in Bihar. In 2014, he was elected as Lok Sabha MP from the same seat.
As the Power Minister, Shri Singh is credited with achieving near universal household electrification in India under the Saubhagya scheme.
Prior to joining the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) Shri RK Singh has been an IAS officer with an impressive career record spanning nearly four decades. As a civil servant, he has held many important positions including those of Secretary, Department of Defence Production and Secretary, Home Affairs. As Principal Secretary, Road Construction Department of Bihar, he was widely credited with transformation of the road network of the State.
Shri Singh was born on 20 Dec 1952 at Supaul (Bihar). He holds several degrees includingB.A. (Hons.)in English Literature, LL.B. and Diploma in Management.
Shri Anurag Thakur takes charge as Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs
Shri Anurag Singh Thakur assumed charge of office as the Union Minister of State (MoS) for Finance & Corporate Affairs here today. Shri Thakur took the charge in the august presence of Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.

BRIEF PROFILE:
Shri Anurag Singh Thakur was born on 24 October 1974. Shri Thakur successfully contested 17th Lok Sabha seat from Hamirpur in Himachal Pradesh. He was first elected to Lok Sabha in May 2008 in a by poll as a candidate of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Previously, Shri Thakur has successfully contested 14th, 15th & 16th Lok Sabha elections.
Shri Thakur was the President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) from May 2016 to February 2017. On 29 July 2016, Shri Thakur became the first serving BJP Member of Parliament to become a regular commissioned Officer in the Territorial Army. Shri Thakur has done his bachelors education from Doaba College, Jalandhar, Punjab.
Smt Harsimrat Kaur Badal takes charge as Union Minister of Food Processing Industries
Smt Harsimrat Kaur Badal,assumed charge of her office as the Union Minister of Food Processing Industries for a second term here today.
This is the second stint of Smt Badal as Minister of Food Processing Industries after holding the same charge under NDA 1 from 2014 to 2019.
During her time as the Cabinet Minister her main achievements include the successful organisation of World Food India 2017 (following which preparations for World Food India 2019 are currently underway), successful operationalisation of Operation Greens to arrest the fluctuation in prices of tomato, onion and potato, giving a major boost to food processing in India by way of inauguration of 17 Mega Food Parks, fast tracking of approvals of cold chains and other projects et al. The Minister notably led efforts of Indian food processing sector towards relief efforts in Kerala in 2018.
Smt Harsimrat Kaur Badal is a Member of Parliament from Bathinda, Punjab and a member of Shiromani Akali Dal. This is her third consecutive stint as an MP from Bathinda after being a part of both the 15th and 16thLok Sabha from the same constituency. Smt Harsimrat Kaur Badalhas done her schooling from Loreto convent school, New Delhi and subsequently pursued a three-year course in textile design.

Shri Prahalad Singh Patel assumed charge as the Minister of State (Independent Charge) of Ministry of Culture, Government of India in New Delhi today.
The five-time MP, Shri Prahalad Singh Patel represents Damoh Lok Sabha Constituency in Madhya Pradesh. He has previously been member of many Parliamentary Committees in the 16th Lok Sabha. The 59 year old Minister takes interest in a wide range of social and cultural activities including preservation of Indian culture, development of rural areas, farmers’ welfare and promotion of sports.

Ms. Debasree Chaudhuri took charge as the Minister of State of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, in New Delhi today. The 48 year Old Minister representing Raiganj Lok Sabha Constituency in West Bengal has worked in the field of youth and women development.

Shri Rameswar Teli takes over charge as Ministry of State for Food Processing Industries
Shri Rameshwar Teli has taken over as the Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries today. The Minister of State was welcomed by Secretary Smt Pushpa Subramanyam and other senior officials of the Ministry.
During a brief interaction with Media in his Office, Shri Teli thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for this opportunity. He added “at the same time, I am humbled by the scope of responsibility put on my shoulders”.

Shri Rameswar Teli, aged 48, is a Member of Parliament from Dibrugarh constituency in Assam. He is a member of the Bhartiya Janata Party. Prior to his current election, he has been elected as an MP from the same constituency in 2014. Shri Teli has previously been elected to the Legislative Assembly of Assam in 2001 and 2006 from Duliajan constituency in Dibrugarh.

Union Minister Shri Ram Vilas Paswan officially takes charge of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution for a second consecutive term
Eight-time Member of Parliament from Bihar and six-time Union Minister Shri Ram Vilas Paswan today officially took charge of the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution for a second consecutive term. Brief Profile of Shri Suresh Angadi Channabasappa
Suresh Angadi Channabasappa, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party in Karnataka, is elected from Belgaum in 17th Loksabha elections. He has taken the charge as Minister of State of Railways.
He was born to Somawwa and Chanabasappa Angadi and completed his graduation from S.S.S. Samithi College of commerce in Belgaum. Later, he also graduated in Law from the prestigious Raja Lakhamgouda Law College, Belgaum.
A member of Bharatiya Janata Party, he became the vice president of the party’s Belgaum district unit in 1996. He continued in that office till 1999. In 2001 he was nominated as the president of the district unit and continued to hold that post until he was nominated as the party’s candidate for the Belagavi Lok Sabha constituency in 2004. He was re elected to a second term as Member of Parliament in the 2009 General Elections. He was elected for a third consecutive term in 2014.

India became Power & Coal surplus for the first time ever. Also transformative growth in Power resulted in net capacity addition of renewable energy which exceeded that of conventional power while also achieving record low tariff in this sector.
Brief Profile of Shri Piyush Goyal
Shri Piyush Goyal is currently a Member of Rajya Sabha (he was first elected to RajyaSabha in 2010 & re-elected in 2016) and was earlier the National Treasurer of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was part of the publicity and manifesto committees of the Bharatiya Janata Party for the 2019 general elections.
He has had a brilliant academic record- all-India second rank holder Chartered Accountant and second rank holder in Law in Mumbai University. He was a well-known investment banker and he has advised top corporates on management strategy and growth. He earlier served on the Board of India’s largest commercial bank, the State Bank of India and Bank of Baroda.
During his 35 year long political career, he has held several important positions at different levels in the BJP and is in the National Executive of the Party. He had the privilege of being mentored by stalwarts such as Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee , former Prime Minister of India. He was also nominated by the Government of India to the prestigious Task Force for Interlinking of Rivers in 2002.

Shri Kiren Rijiju takes charge of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports
Shri Kiren Rijiju took over as the Minister of State (Independent charge) for the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports here today. Shri Rijiju was administered the oath of office and secrecy by the President in a ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan yesterday.
Briefly interacting with the media after taking charge, the Minister said that it would be a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the youth’s empowerment. Shri Rijiju said Youth Power will be galvanised to achieve the goals. He expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for giving this opportunity to do something constructive for the youth and sports. He said he has been connected with sports for last many years and has a great concern for the sportspersons. He further stated that his good wishes are with all the sportspersons who play for the country particularly with the Indian Cricket Team, which is taking part in the World Cup in England. The Minister said all efforts would be made to facilitate the sportspersons. He also said that good things of the past will be carried forward and new things will be added to achieve new heights. He said that traditional games alongwith National gamesand other sporting events etc. will be promoted for achieving excellence.
Shri Rijiju is a Loksabha MP from Arunachal (West), Arunachal Pradesh. Born on 19th Nov. 1971, Sh. Rijiju has studied B.A., LLB from Delhi. This is the second term of ShRijiju as the member of the Lok Sabha. ShRijiju has keen interest in badminton, football and athletics. He has also participated in National games. Sh. Rijiju has written many articles in the Newspapers and Magazine related to Social, Cultural and Political issues. He has special interests in strategic and security affairs. An active social worker since school days, Sh. Rijiju led several social movements as a social worker and student leader. He has represented India in various social and cultural events held in many countries. He was adjudged as the best young parliamentarian by the media during 14th Lok Sabha.
Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman takes charge as the Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs
Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman assumed charge as the Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs here today. She was greeted at the office in North Block by Minister of State for Finance & Corporate Affairs designate, Shri Anurag Singh Thakur, Finance Secretary Shri Subhash Chandra Garg and other Secretaries of the Ministry. Smt. Sitharaman is the first woman appointed as the full-time Union Minister of Finance & Corporate Affairs.
After assuming the charge, the Union Minister for Finance & Corporate Affairs was briefed on the key initiatives and policy issues by the Secretaries of the different departments of the Ministry of Finance & Corporate Affairs and was apprised of the ongoing issues and the forthcoming challenges facing the Indian economy among others.

Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman has served as the Union Defence Minister since 2017. She is currently a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament (MP) from Karnataka. In 2014, she was elected as Rajya Sabha MP from Andhra Pradesh. She has also served as the Minister of State for Finance and Corporate Affairs and later the Minister for Commerce and Industry with Independent Charge.
As the Defence Minister, Smt. Sitharaman is credited with expediting the decision-making process relating to procurement in defence sector. She constituted a Defence Planning Committee to formulate an “action plan” to effectively overcome with various security challenges facing the nation.
Smt. Sitharaman joined the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in 2008 and has served as a national spokesperson for the party since 2010.
Smt. Sitharaman was born in Madurai, Tamil Nadu, on August 18, 1959. She completed her graduation from Seethalakshmi Ramasamy College, Tiruchirappalli and obtained her M.A. (Economics) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi.
