*All India weighted average projected Cost of Production Source: Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP)
Commission for Agricultural Costs and Prices (CACP) makes cost projections based on Composite Input Price Index (CIPI) for essential items of agricultural use. Based on the CIPI, the CACP projects crop-wise, state-wise cost of cultivation. Crop-wise, state-wise cost of production is then derived from these projected cost of cultivation using projected yields. The Composite Input Price Index (CIPI) for essential items of agricultural use for kharif crops including cotton during the years 2015-16 to 2018-19 is given at Annexure.
